Anos depois da pandemia de covid, percebi que meu trabalho passou por uma fase mais sombria, com desenhos densos e de execução demorada. Havia algo na técnica em si, a forma como o carvão preenche e escurece o papel, o movimento repetitivo da mão buscando uma textura homogênea, mas também nos temas, representando uma natureza inalcançável e até onírica, em contraste com o momento de encolhimento do mundo que o confinamento nos causava.

Years after the covid pandemic ended, I realized my work had gone through a darker phase, composed by drawings that were denser and demanded a long time to complete. There was something about the charcoal technique, the way it fills the paper, the repetitive movements the hand makes to cover the whole area smoothly, but also the themes felt that, always an unreachable nature, dreamlike, in contrast with the compressed world we were obliged to live in during confinement.
